Wilfred Chaplin

Wilfred Atlee Chaplin was a member of the Club from the 1950's until the 1980's. He was a prolific photographer with an inventive mind. There are two trophies associated with him. The Chaplin Bowl and The Bull Trophy. He made the Bull Trophy in ceramic. This trophy was for the Most Humorous photograph and as those of you who have tried it is a very difficult genre. Wilf was brilliant at making funny pictures.  He left behind a huge archive of his images. These are now being preserved in Salisbury Museum. Soon they will be available on the Museum web site.

The Chaplin Bowl is part of our Trophy Competition today
