Club Night - Flickr
Thanks to Rachel for this week’s meeting report. Rachel writes:
Last night was our first club night of the year, a Flickr night. Partly a chance for members to show and talk about some of the images that they have shared via our club’s group on the Flickr site, and partly to help make people aware of the benefits of that community and encourage folk to join in. As our speakers explained, not every image that we might want to share with our friends is one we’d necessarily want to put into a competition; sometimes they’re just for fun, for our own amusement, or as practice or experimentation. But we still might want others to see them, to get feedback or just to let them enjoy our photography too, and that’s what this space gives. They also extolled Flickr’s virtues as a place to find ideas or locations or just people who share your particular photography interests – with 25 billion photos, there’s bound to someone who likes what you like!
You can find a link to the Salisbury Photography Group’s page on Flickr via the Flickr icon (two white dots in a black circle) on the club’s website, top right on a computer screen (next to the Facebook “f”) or all-the-way-scrolled-to-the-bottom on a mobile.”
