Dirty Dozen
This week’s club night was all about participation, as many of our members shared a “Dirty Dozen” images they might not usually enter into competition, but wanted to project, talk about, or simply share with the group.
It was fantastic to see such a wide range of work on display, including images from members who don’t often enter competitions (despite producing some wonderful photographs!), and to hear the stories behind pictures that hold personal meaning.
While competitions can be a valuable part of club life, they can also feel a little intimidating or discouraging at times. Evenings like this remind us that photography is about far more than scores — it’s about sharing, storytelling, creativity and connection.
