Nightjars assemble!

SPC’s Nightjars (our new night photography group) met for the first time last night.

We headed to Harnham Water Meadows hoping to capture the moon over the cathedral, but unfortunately the clouds had other ideas. Still, we made the most of it and turned our lenses toward the beautifully lit Old Mill pub and hotel.

For those of us with little night photography experience, our first meet gave us opportunity to fine tune our preparation (must remember my tripod mount next time!) and to road test using our gear in the dark. A very useful learning experience despite the less-than-stellar conditions.

Special mention to Robin, who "joined" us virtually, photographing the moon over in Switzerland! Looking forward to our next outing!

If you’re interested in joining future outings, please speak to Paul Rigg to join the WhatsApp group.
