Cathedral Cup Trophy

Set Subject ‘Humour’

Congratulations to Tony Oliver for winning the Cathedral Cup Trophy set subject of ‘Humour’ with his humorous image entitled ‘The Donkey Whisperer’. Amanda enjoyed this well captured scene showing the Donkey and its quirky handler taking a break on the beach. The relationship between the two made a strong image in mono using Nik effects.

Castle Camera Trophy

Best of Year individual PDI from the Open Competitions

Congratulations to Paul Rigg as the winner of the Castle Camera Trophy for best PDI of the year “Artic Beach’. Sue Sibley was impressed by the unusual scene with wonderful textured rocks in the foreground and the perfect placing of the figure walking towards the sea. glancing to the distant mountain view

Toomey Trophy

Best of Year individual Print from the Open Competitions

Congratulations to Mike Brown as the winner of the Toomey Trophy for the best print of the year ‘De Warr Pavillion Stairs’’. Sue Sibley said his image had caught her eye and attention looking at the detail in each area and spending time studying it as it led her round from outdoor cameos to pools of light on the floor and up the stairs following the old man.

DS White Trophy

Paul Mitchell judged our panels of images for the DS White Trophy and the winner was Richard Ramsay with his eye-catching trio of ‘Expressions’. Paul was impressed by the choice of subject that balanced so well as a panel with a range of emotion shown and a symmetry that had been well thought out and executed giving a cohesive top quality to the colourful printed panel.

Etchells Vase

The Etchells Vase celebrates ‘People Pictures’ covering a range of genres including Street, Travel and Documentary images. This year Graham House is the winner with a wonderful photo of people of all age groups dancing as they are silhouetted against a sunrise sky at Old Sarum. Kevin Sandall thought it epitomised a joyful people image with great sense of celebration. Emma Webber came second with a family portrait in Woodland and Sally Money came third with her portrait of an Indian Boy.

Wiltshire Trophy

The Wiltshire Trophy is awarded for the Wiltshire Landscape best print shot in Wiltshire. Congratulations to Rachel Allcock who came first with her image ‘Cathedral What Cathedral’’ portraying the Cathedral in glorious light from her perspective as seen from the Mill looking over the water meadows. Mark Lanigan was particularly impressed that she captured the figure of an angler casting his line in the foreground standing in the River Nadder. He felt this image illustrated the brief perfectly.
